Prince Gumball’s path to the throne was brutal. Fionna wasn’t around during the Sugar Wars; Gumball distracts her by acting super bland and wearing disco pants.

Marshall Lee knows the truth, but as Chaotic Neutral, he just can’t bring himself to give a shit.

ETA: Nhyworks just gave me the amazing pun ‘Game of Scones.’ Brb dying ok.

Settlements and City Strategies by Lekan Jeyifous

Lekan Jeyifo (tumblr / twitter)

This series contains abstracted planimetric drawings and eerily-serene cityscapes that suggest the changing contours of urban settlements. They represent an idea of a degenerate futurism, yet one might find similar typologies and scenes in places such as the favelas of Brazil and North Africa, and in overpopulated cities such as Lagos, Mexico City, and Mumbai. Though outputted digitally, the drawings possess a textured and painterly quality as a result of combining hand-drawn sketches, industrial textures, surfaces of deteriorated paper, and digital architectural models.
A constant interplay between digital and analog processes is important in my work, resulting in a highly layered set of documents. The drawings presented here started out as digital images that were outputted, sketched and drawn over, and scanned back into the computer in order to be retraced, textured, and layered

This project has been expanded by a few pages. Sorry it took so long to post, finals week is hell.

I’m so curious about this story…!

Children’s Illustrators: Kay Nielsen

Born in Denmark in 1886, Nielsen was inspired by Art Nouveau and Eastern influences in his illustrations, and adopted many practices of Japanese woodcuts, such as asymmetrical composition, large vacant areas, sinuous linework, and flattened perspective.

A cold one on a hot one.

I am using the same drawing as yesterday but trying a different story with it.
I am curious to find out how many stories, moods, weather conditions I can come up with the same location….and a small one at that.( That kitchen is not big).
To be honest, this idea came about because for the past few weeks I have been busier than usual with work and it’s been harder to do proper sketches( lack of time AND focus..more important than time in a lot of cases!)…so I figured..well.. I’ve always wanted to try different seasons, and times in one location and this would be a good time to try it out.
Let’s see if for the rest of the week I can come up with something different each day with this!

I love this concept!

I was testing out some cloud brushes I made in Photoshop last night and went little crazy with them. Each drawing was done under an hour. I will be making a tutorial plus download to the brushes after I finish the next Fisheye Placebo strip :)

With deference to the genius of David Bowie, here’s Space Oddity, recorded on Station. A last glimpse of the World.

Huge thanks in the making of the video to the talented trio of Emm Gryner, Joe Corcoran and Andrew Tidby, plus Evan Hadfield and all at the CSA.

Chris Hadfield does a cover (with a few tweaks) of Bowie’s “Space Oddity”.

Have a safe flight back to earth!

(i am an asian male living in singapore)

people on here pretend that culture is something that ABOSLUTELY NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED AND KEPT BY THEIR RACIAL PROGENITORS BY ALL COSTS

but culture has always fucking been about sharing, even when people were screwed over

if you live in a western country, have never been outside it, and have never empirically experienced how other cultures share themselves with people then please stop talking about ‘appropriation’

cultures share each other. they don’t share everything about themselves, but things are shared. especially in asia, fuck dude, we are all about sharing.

the question most people ask my country when you meet with them is ‘have you eaten’. because we love food. we love sharing food. when westerners come we want to show them all we have because there is something magical about sharing who you and your people are with someone

historically that has been taken advantage of but we’re at a point where if someone tries to exploit you it can be called out and taken down

no one gives a shit if you do yoga, subscribe to buddhism,

hell one of my monks lives here and he’s white from chicago? and he lives in the temple with everyone else and they all respect and love each other

what? you’ve never been to a buddhist temple? you’ve never even talked to a fucking monk? you haven’t eaten with them and laughed and understood that it’s about love, sharing, and togetherness rather than going ‘fuck off whitey’?

then shut the fuck up
